Ajmer is a city in the northern Indian state of Rajasthan. South of the city’s artificial Ana Sagar Lake is Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the domed shrine of the Muslim Sufi saint Garib Nawaz. Nearby, a 16th-century palace built by the Mughal emperor Akbar now houses the Ajmer Government Museum, displaying armor and stone sculptures. A museum at the Indo-Saracenic–style Mayo College exhibits art and taxidermied birds.

AJMER SHARIF DARGAH

The Ajmer Sharif Dargah, or Shrine of Mu’in al-Din Chishti, is a popular pilgrimage site for both Muslims and Hindus in Ajmer, India. It is considered a sacred place where saints prayed and mediated, and it has been a site for pilgrims since the medieval period. The dargah is known for its rich history, cultural significance, and the offering of chaddars and rose petals by pilgrims. 

ADHAI DIN KA JHONPDA

Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is a historical mosque located in Ajmer, built in the 12th century by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak . It was originally a Sanskrit college, which was later converted into a mosque. This mosque is considered an early example of Indo-Islamic architecture.

SAI BABA TEMPLE

Spread over an area of over five bheegas (or over two acres) at Ajay Nagar, the Sai Baba Temple in Ajmer was constructed by Suresh K Lal, a resident of the Garib Nawaz City in 1999. It’s one of the most recent pieces of
architecture.

The Ajmer Government Museum serves as one of the prime tourist destinations in Ajmer. The museum is housed within the magnificent fortified palace of the legendary Mughal Emperor Akbar, which was built in
